The canyon area has year round attractions. In the spring, rafters and canoeists enjoy the scenic ride down the canyon, which has class 2 and 3 whitewater. Many are lucky enough to see nesting bald eagles and river otters. Pine Creek also provides excellent fishing for trout, bass, and pan fish.

The area attracts many vacationing families in the summer who enjoy biking, swimming, fishing, and hiking. The canyon contains a forty mile 'Rails-to-Trails' bike trail that has become very popular with canyon visitors.
