Ponderosa Description

The Ponderosa is a beautiful, two bedroom cabin located on twenty acres of mountain land on the western side of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon near the town of Blackwell. It was built in 1982 by my father, Eugene Ludwig, and a local stone mason. It was constructed of stone blocks gathered from a local mountain.

It is located in a secluded setting with a large lawn and a beautiful view of two mountains. It's location is about a mile from the mouth of the canyon and is within easy walking distance of the 40 mile bike trail that runs through the canyon gorge.

The cabin sleeps 4-6 people. There is a queen-sized bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the other. It also has a queen-sized sofabed. The kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, and cooking and eating utensils. The bathroom has a nice vanity area and a shower. The cabin has electric heat and is well insulated. It also has a phone that can be used for local or credit card calls.
