We rely on our renters to clean up when they leave. We really appreciate good cleaners and we don’t rent twice to people who leave without cleaning up. All we ask is that you vacume the carpet, wipe the counters and take all your garbage with you.

Cancellation Policy: For cancellations more than six months before the starting rental date, the renter will receive a full refund. For cancellations from one to six months before the starting rental date, the renter will lose the 50% deposit, unless the renter or we can find a replacement renter. For cancellations less than one month before the starting rental date, the renter will lose the full rental amount, unless the renter or we can find a replacement renter. We will make a sincere effort to find another renter for the cancelled dates and return the full deposit to the renter. However, within two months of the starting rental date, we reserve the right to advertise the availability of cancelled dates at a 20% price reduction. When a replacement renter is found by the renter or by the owner at less than full price, the renter's deposit refund will be reduced by the amount of the price reduction.
Directions to the cabin: Travelling west on route 414 from Morris to Blackwell, cross the two bridges at Blackwell. From the second bridge, drive 1 mile and look for a white farm house on the left. Immediately after the farm, turn right onto a gravel drive, then immediately bear left. Disregard the posters. The cabin is straight ahead of you about 150 yards.
What to bring: You need to bring food, clothing, sheets and pillow cases. It’s also a good idea to bring some dish soap and toilet paper. Pots, pans, dishes and eating utensils are provided.
Recommended local restaurants: Cedar Run Inn (french), Babbs Creek Inn at Morris (family), Wellsboro diner (local culture), Penn Wells Hotel in Wellsboro (fine dining), Log Cabin Restaurant on Rt 6 near Galeton (excellent food, salad bar, but it’s a bit of a drive).
Best kept local secrets: Locations of wild trout streams, including Teddy Rosevelt’s favorite: Four Mile Run. Others include Minehole Run, Faunastock, and the headwaters of Cedar Run. Wild blueberries are ripe and abundant in late July and August.
